First-responders swarmed a car crash in Brooklyn that left at least two people injured and trapped inside a wrecked vehicle, police say.

The one-car crash happened just after 3:30 a.m. Monday at Kings Highway and Tilden Avenue in East Flatbush, according to the NYPD. Police added that two people were trapped and rushed to an area hospital after the car they were in hit a light pole.

The driver, a 26-year-old man, is in critical condition, police said. The severity of the passenger’s injuries were not immediately known. 

Video from the scene posted to the social media app “Citizen” shows dozens of police officers surrounding the car. 

Kings Highway is closed in both directions between Snyder Avenue and Tilden Avenue. There is no estimate as to when the stretch of roadway would fully reopen.
