Two men came running out from a Tribeca subway station after they were knifed in the head on the platform, authorities said.

The attack happened just before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Canal Street A/C/E station near Sixth Avenue and Walker Street, according to officials. Two men came out running out from the station looking for help, after being stabbed or slashed in the head.

Both victims were rushed to the hospital in serious condition. A third person, a possible suspect, is being questioned by police. It is not known if the victims knew the possible attacker.

Train service was momentarily interrupted, but was back running on a near-normal schedule just ahead of the evening rush, with some possible residual delays.
