Evildoers beware: She-Ra and The Princesses of Power is about to unleash a whole lotta warrior princess power!
DreamWorks Animation Television unveiled the trailer for the new Netflix series Friday at New York Comic Con, treating fans to a first glimpse of the series during a panel moderated by TV Guide Features Editor Krutika Mallikarjuna. Inspired by the popular ’80s animated series, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power tells the story of an orphan named Adora, voiced by Aimee Carrero, who leaves behind her former life in the evil Horde when she discovers a magic sword that transforms her into the mythical warrior princess She-Ra. Along the way, she finds a new family in the Rebellion as she unites a group of magical princesses in the ultimate fight against evil.
If voices in the trailer sound familiar, they should: the series is packed with a Who’s Who of talents, including Karen Fukuhara of Suicide Squad who voices Glimmer; black-ish star Marcus Scribner as the voice of Bow; AJ Michalka from The Goldbergsas Catra; Vella Lovell (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) as Mermista; and Killing Eve star Sandra Oh as Castaspella, among many others.
She-Ra and The Princesses of Power debuts on Netflix Friday, Nov. 16.
