WD-40 profit increases, beats sales expectations
WD-40 Co.’s WDFC profit rose for its first quarter as sales of its flagship product grew 5% globally. The San Diego-based manufacturer of household products reported a profit of $13.3 million, or 95 cents a share, compared with $12.6 million, or 90 cents a share, a year ago. Analysts polled by FactSet were expecting earnings of 95 cents a share.
