NJ Transit trains in and out of New York Penn Station are facing 90-minute delays due to Amtrak overhead wire problems, the rail service said Monday.

PATH is cross-honoring at 33rd Street, Hoboken and Newark Penn. NJT buses and private carriers are cross-honoring as well.

Frustrated riders took to social media to report being held at stations along the way to New York, in some cases for more than an hour, as the delays mounted. An Amtrak spokesman told News 4 there was a power issue causing congestion delays.

NJT initially reported 45-minute delays around 9 a.m., bumping that up to 60-minute delays around 10:20 a.m. and then 90 minutes around 10:50 a.m.
