There seem to be a swarm of custom bike shows cropping up these days, and fortunately for us, many of them are the real deal. Just take the good ole boys at Prism Supply: They’ve created a motorcycle show that’s quickly grabbed national attention. In only its second year, the Congregation Show has run up the ranks to rival events like the Handbuilt show, and this year was better than last.
2018 brought more people and more bikes, with attendance more than 5,000 this year for the one-day show. Held at Camp North End in Charlotte, North Carolina, a former General Motors assembly plant, the show is a joint effort with DicE Magazine and Harley-Davidson.
The formerly abandoned building came to life over the weekend with more than 120 bikes and 25 hot rods. The day also saw four bands, more than 40 vendors, and an excellent collection of vintage swap-meet goodies. The indoor of Camp North End is a time machine that has you walking on wooden floors and looking through century-old glass, and the Congregation Show is reminiscent of those simpler times too.
“We couldn’t do any of this without the amazing team over at Camp North End and our friends at Harley-Davidson,” said Ben Carroll with Prism Supply and the Congregation Show. Next year the team plans to continue to grow. “We’re inspired by the community of motorcycle enthusiasts here in North Carolina,” Ben said. “We hope [the show] serves as a gathering for friends, and a place to enjoy a cold beverage and celebrate the things that bring us together while enjoying some of the best vintage motorcycles and hot rods in the world.”
