Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) is back! During the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards, Netflix finally revealed a new teaser trailer for El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, and now we’re ready to hop into one of those old Chevy coupes and drive right down to Albuquerque ourselves just be a little closer to the action because we just got our first new glimpse at the embattled former sidekick.

The teaser shows that Jesse has indeed escaped the pursuit of the police but that they are very much on the hunt for him. As he hides away in the desert, shortly after his flight from the compound, he overhears the radio report of the shootout which adds, “Investigators are searching for a person of interest who fled the scene. Anyone with information on this massacre is asked to call the police immediately.”

El Camino was written and directed by Vince Gilligan, the creator of Breaking Bad, and the film picks up where the hit AMC series left off with its eventful series finale: after Walter White (Bryan Cranston) managed to free Jesse from the white supremacist compound run by Todd (Jesse Plemons) and his Uncle Jack (Michael Bowen).

Everything You Need to Remember About Breaking Bad Before El Camino

Before this film was announced, Breaking Bad fans were left to guess what became of Heisenberg’s troubled sidekick. The chance that he’d be nabbed by the police that were swarming the facility was just as large as the idea that he’d finally head to Alaska and spend the rest of his life carving those little boxes he loved so well. Now, fans will get to enjoy some closure on one of the few open story lines of the original series as El Camino brings Jesse Pinkman back to our screens for one last ride.

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie premieres on Netflix on Friday, Oct. 11. The film will also be screened at 68 movie theaters across the country, including locations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Albuquerque. El Camino will air on AMC sometime in early 2020.
