The Walking Dead fans haven’t seen Dwight (Austin Amelio) since the end of Season 8, when the former Savior was forced to leave Alexandria by Darryl (Norman Reedus). But Dwight is finally ready to return to the franchise on Fear the Walking Dead. On Saturday, AMC released the first photos from Season 5 of the Walking Dead spin-off series, featuring a fresh look at Dwight.
This is the second time a Walking Dead stalwart has found his way to Fear the Walking Dead. Last season, Lennie James‘ Morgan became a part of the show, joining series stars Colman Domingo, Garret Dillahunt, Danay Garcia, Jenna Elfman, Alycia Debnam-Carter, Alexa Nisenson, Maggie Grace, Mo Collins, Daryl Mitchell.

Fear the Walking Dead Season 5 does not yet have a premiere date. The second half of The Walking Dead Season 9 starts Sunday, following news that series star Danai Gurira, who plays Michonne, will leave the Walking Dead flagship show after briefly appearing in a smattering of Season 10 episodes. (Gurira will appear in future Walking Dead movies alongside departed lead actor Andrew Lincoln.)
