If you thought things couldn’t get more dire on Humans, prepare yourselves before diving into Season 3.
Now that all Synths have been given consciousness, the world has erupted into deadly chaos. In this exclusive sneak peek of Tuesday’s season premiere (10/9c, AMC), we see the fallout of the decision to release the code to grant Synths consciousness, including plane crashes, car accidents and violent riots.
And while protests against Synths rage on, led in part by the group We Are People, and Synths are living under strict curfews with few rights, the corporate world apparently just can’t help itself. When Season 3 picks up one year later, a new line of “safe” Synthetics, known as “Orange Eyes,” have already been put into development.
Humans third season will detail the newly-awakened Synth population fighting to survive in an increasingly polarized Britain. But with tens of thousands of people dead as a result of releasing the consciousness code, was it really worth it to revive Mia (Gemma Chan)? That’s a question we’ll all have to tune in to find out.
Humans returns Tuesday at 10/9c on AMC.
